Now that the TL is back to normal…
I post about how I think an ideal society should be run, why Nigerians deserve better leadership and governance, football, supply chain trade compliance, and sometimes put my mouth in matters that don’t concern me. 😅
This confirms that our Customs, Import and Export policies need serious review.
No way an equipment meant for the nation's electrification was seized for 20 years. Customs regulations should protect national interests, moreso, 20-year-old equipment won't suit today's realities.
For nearly 20 years, over 300 containers of transmission equipment sat stranded at our ports. This equipment was bought to expand the network, relieve overloaded substations and bring more reliable electricity to Nigerians.
Yesterday, the Nigeria Customs Service approved the release of the first 98. Our engineers will now verify the equipment, test it and deploy it where it is needed most. That means completing stalled projects, easing pressure on overloaded substations and strengthening the grid.
This is a significant first step, and we are working to secure the release of the remaining 200+ containers without further delay.
We are grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the release. We also thank the Comptroller-General and officers of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Honourable Minister of Finance, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, the Nigerian Ports Authority, the terminal operators and the TCN team for their support.

That state investability statistics is a divide-and-conquer strategy, and it's working its intended purpose.

I don't get the hate towards HE Seyi Makinde from the APC.
Tinubu stood up to Obasanjo and even took him to court as a sitting President, yet he was hailed as a hero. But the APC expects everyone to bow.
I'll rather stand for what I believe in, even if it means standing alone.
