This December, we’re commemorating 100 years of powering Florida’s progress starting right here in St. Augustine. 🎄✨ One of our earliest ventures involved providing ice to Floridians from this historic building that now houses the charming @StAugDistillery. As we celebrate 100 years, we’re honored to light up the traditions that bring people together—past, present and future. ✨

Manatee season is here! As water temperatures drop, manatees migrate to the warm waters at Manatee Lagoon an FPL Eco-Discovery Center located near our energy center at Riveria Beach. Join @manateelagoon for their Manatee Season Kickoff event on Saturday, Nov. 15, or visit anytime during manatee season, which runs through March 31, to see these gentle giants up close. Admission is always free! Learn more: spr.ly/60177ZYKd

𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦: Back in the 1970s, we launched the Department of Environmental Planning and Research — to help ensure we remain good stewards of Florida’s natural resources. One snappy example of the many exciting things we do: 🐊 Our American crocodile program at Turkey Point. Decades of habitat management and research have helped this once endangered species rebound. Since it began, we’ve tagged more than 10,000 hatchlings, and in recent years, we’ve seen record-breaking nesting seasons. What started as a focus on environmental planning has grown into a long-standing commitment to protecting wildlife and natural habitats.

Our crews are ready to support customers impacted by the severe weather affecting parts of our service territory. Remember to keep safety top of mind and follow manufacturer guidelines when using generators, space heaters and electric blankets. We encourage customers to heed warnings from emergency officials and monitor local forecasts.
