Can we please stop the "we owe our civilisation to Judaeo-Christian values" nonsense. Judaeo-Christian values were around for 2000 years and did basically nothing for humanity What transformed peoples lives was The Enlightenment when we embraced rationalism and rejected religion

For years, activists have claimed it is racist to break down sex crime statistics by nationality. This is nonsense. It should surprise no one that men from cultures in which women are treated as subordinate are convicted of sexual offences at disproportionately high rates.

This is wonderful I knew a few of them and loved all of them Also any excuse to show pictures by Magritte & Hopper is OK by me
We love it when filmmakers take direct inspiration from great artists and classic paintings. Here are some of our favouritesโ€ฆ First up, The Truman Show (1998) and Au clair de lune (1956) by Renรฉ Magritte. 1/35

You might expect the general secretary of the UK's largest union for women to welcome greater clarity on women's rights to single-sex spaces. But women aren't even mentioned in her statement about the NHS's revised single-sex accommodation policy. Apparently, @unisontheunion general secretary Andrea Egan is more concerned with the 'safety, dignity and privacy' of men who identify as women. Her statement is also misleading by omission. She fails to mention that the NHS guidance makes provision for alternative accommodation for trans patients, including single rooms, subject to clinical needs. Instead, her statement focuses entirely on the needs of trans patients, without acknowledging the rights or concerns of women who rely on NHS services. And then there's the ideological language. Sex is not 'assigned' at birth. It is observed and recorded by a medical professional. Imagine being a female NHS worker, paying your union subs every month, only to discover that your general secretary Andrea Egan Unison General Secretary is using your hard-earned money to advance men's interests - not women's.

No Britain hasn't fallen to Islam But yes, Our asylum system is an absolute shambles This man should be in prison or out of the country - there should be no third option
๐ŸšจNEW: An Islamic terrorist who was part of the Al Qaeda unit who beheaded British man Ken Bigley has been pictured free to walk the streets after being released from prison having served six months of a two-year sentence for illegally crossing the English Channel

I did this Ancestry DNA thing years ago and they just sent me an update. I really am just about as British as it gets My ancestors had no sense of adventure I'd make a very dull episode of "Who Do You Think You Are" wouldn't I

Proud of the replies/comments to this That's not something I say very often
Can you believe this is actually a member of Parliament in the United Kingdom now? Look how she decided to dress for her first day.

Killing blasphemers is maybe a bit extreme Just fine them, or lock them up This person actually believes that this makes her moderate
As a Muslim, I find this incredibly extreme. I condemn insults towards any religious figure, whether Prophet Muhammad PBUH or Jesus PBUH. But the death penalty? A prison sentence or fine, proportionate to the offence and any repeat offending, would be more than adequate.

Sweet holy fuck This man is a disgrace to the human race
A majority of the hostage deaths can be โ€˜traced back to Israeli military actionsโ€™! Good job Netanyahu! Good job IDF defenders in the West! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Tomorrow, on the third anniversary of October 7, 'pro-Palestinian' students from the London Universities plan to march between their campuses. They did the same last year. There are 365 days in a year. Yet they have chosen the anniversary of the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. One can therefore only conclude they are marching in support of Hamas's genocidal attacks. The Met has asked them to change the date, but says it can't ban the march over its timing. We can debate that but whether it goes ahead is now beside the point. What is clear - and this amplifies what we knew already - is that there are many universities, in London and across the country, where the poison is already too deep-rooted to extract. This has been allowed to fester for years by the universities themselves. And no doubt it was emboldened by the Green Party on Sunday. If Zionism is racism. If the Jewish State is uniquely evil. If its supporters are collectively racist - then why wouldn't you decide to march to celebrate and glorify the deaths, the rapes, the hostage-taking, the terror? Like spoilt children, these people have been accommodated and indulged for a long time now - well before 7/10. And when you don't say "no" to a child, they push the boundaries of what is acceptable further and further. We are now at the point where academia not only doesn't say โ€œnoโ€ - in places it is actively saying YES! Last month, at my UCL graduation, a student walked across the stage holding a sign: โ€œUCL funds genocide.โ€ Most of the room cheered. And on the stage, bizarrely clapping along, was the vice-provost - lending the university's authority to a modern blood libel. We are in a dangerous and sad place as a society. I spoke to @NickFerrariLBC about it this morning ๐Ÿ‘‡
