A really lovely (if a tad chilly!🥶) site visit to Falkland yesterday for our @ReforestingScot @thousandhuts brief. Huge thanks to architect Duncan and the lovely Andrew for showing our HNC students around #hutofwellbeing #collaboration #fifecollege #reforestingscotland

The Hut of Wellbeing appeal has reached its 100th supporter and final week. With over £5k in direct donations too, the crowdfunder is about £3k from its target. Can you help it get there? crowdfunder.co.uk/hut-of-wel… @thousandhuts

Now I may be biased, but the latest @ReforestingScot journal is an absolute cracker !
Articles on regeneration of clearfelled (ex-forestry) sites by crofters, montane woodland, soil carbon, regenerative grazing, Yearn Stane, localising food markets and much more.
A must-read.

Stuart Macpherson looks back over his childhood trips to the family caravan and reflects on the wider tradition of hutting.
Thanks to a group called @ReforestingScot and their @thousandhuts campaign, hutting is once again encouraging the revival of an outdoor lifestyle.

Kids are amazing @NicCrowley1 @EllaRove @thousandhuts
I walked in to find Anisa building a tiny house for one, must be the influence @LornaAJackson from hearing you and your granddaughter’s awesome journey. Funny how things can take time to really impact ones thinking/actions 💚
It even includes a mini wind turbine at the top 😉

Our artist in residence Alec Finlay thinks noticing spring flowers, buds and birdsong can help us all to appreciate the places where we live and walk. People who care for the land are like patient-led groups. Read his #WalkingwithNature interview 👇

My granddaughter and continue to tell of our adventure into planning, designing and building a Hut. Thanks @chrisg_smith for a great conversation. Hopefully over the summer we'll be able to start the build!

So sad that people do not seem to understand what our Huts are about and will bring to the area. For example we're looking to plant more native trees in our wood. We'll keep the heid and over time we'll win hearts ❤️ and minds. @thousandhuts @LesleyRiddoch

Check out @thousandhuts for a template code of conduct for Hutters and Landowners (still to be tried and tested I think) and all things to do with Hutting.

....it's great when we get an e-mail years later saying 'Remember us? We did it - we got our croft!'
And even better to see what a fantastic enterprise they're making of it.
Have a look at this one that dropped into our inbox this week: The Wild Croft thewildcroft.co.uk/

Hi @thousandhuts @HuttersUK would be great if you could come along and/or spread the word please? Spoiler alert, we still haven't built a Hut (!) but learning loads along the way 😀

A challenging project in rural Fife, transporting ground screws and equipment half-a-mile to an old railway line to install the foundations and timber-frame for a wooden hut as part of Reforesting Scotland's @thousandhuts Campaign. We look forward to seeing the finished build!

Great online evening with @thousandhuts and @LesleyRiddoch. Brilliant and inspiring stuff looking at Scotland’s lack of huts as a metaphor for so many of our problems, including our unbalanced land ownership. Looking forward to @ReforestingScot gathering on Saturday.
