I ask @KarenBassLA about voters who supported @RickCarusoLA & @spencerpratt and don't like her performance...but are worried about @nithyavraman? Bass: "Vote for me! You know what you're getting!" Me: "They would say that they don't like what they've gotten?" Bass: "It's a binary choice here. You can go with the unknown. The inexperienced. The new to L.A. The person who is OK with encampments being in front of schools and doesn't like police. Or you can go with the leader who is tried, true, honest...who has made mistakes, absolutely made mistakes but is ready to continue to lead." Via @CNNTheStoryIs

Come on Steve. A no vote for Bass is a yes vote for Raman which is a disaster. You know better. Those are the choices and people need to make the least worst and that’s Bass

I asked Nithya Raman if she’s a capitalist? She said she’s “both a capitalist and a democratic socialist.”

October 10: "Replacing the chief of police is not on my 100 day agenda." October 22, when asked if she would begin the process of firing the police chief on day one: "I will begin the process, yes."
First Nithya Raman said she’d fire the chief of police. Then — in the same week — she said she'd keep him for her full first term. Where does she actually stand?

Just saying the obvious part out loud.
LA Councilwoman @TraciParkforLA was one of 3 councilmembers to vote against spending $460,000 to study creating a city-owned public bank. “We can’t even manage our own damn finances,” Park said, questioning why the city would consider operating a bank while struggling with homelessness, infrastructure and budget problems.

When asked about a police chief she respects or admires, Nithya Raman answers that she doesn’t know.
NEW: Who is an example of a police chief that Nithya Raman really respects or admires? "I don't know...I don't know." Raman is now apologizing for her recent debate remarks that LAPD Chief Daryl Gates was a "gold standard" for his handling of immigration. Critics accuse Gates of racist policies. "It was a mistake to reference his name at all. I was trying to make a point and I fumbled that point. That point was not to praise Daryl Gates in any shape or form. I sincerely apologize for mentioning his name. I know it causes real pain for so many people across Los Angeles and I shouldn't have said it." Raman has said she wants to dismiss current LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell but has not floated any names of potential replacements. We'll have a lot more with Raman coming soon on @CNNTheStoryIs

Lots of folks think Nithya didn’t know who could be LAPD chief because her IQ is lower than room temperature. And while that is true, that’s not the reason. She won’t name a police chief because she doesn’t want police to exist at all. Socialists need chaos for the revolution.
LA mayoral hopeful Nithya Raman had an awkward reaction on CNN when she was asked to name a police chief she really respects or admires. “I don’t know…I don’t know.” trib.al/gX7WbpL

Rick Jacobs couldn't buy his way back in to City Hall. So he's trying to buy a Mayor instead. Meet Nithya Raman's backers. Paid for by Thrive Los Angeles PAC. Not authorized by or coordinated with a city candidate or committee controlled by a candidate.

CD4 learned that the hard way. Many were dissatisfied with David Ryu, but instead of doing some research to learn Raman’s stances, they just voted for her. As far how she was reelected, it is beyond comprehension.

Nithya. YOU ARE THE ESTABLISHMENT. You have been working in City Hall longer than Karen Bass. This faux outsider schtick is so stupid. You flip flopped and stabbed Karen in the back after she campaigned for you because you are an unscrupulous commie with no integrity, stop trying paint it as some heroic moral crusade.
Mayor Bass has no answers for her failed record, so she resorts to baseless, personal attacks. Angelenos deserve a mayor who spends more time fixing problems than trying to change the subject.

Now is not the time to hand Los Angeles over to someone with constantly shifting positions, careless rhetoric, and strained relationships with her own constituents. Our city needs steady, experienced leadership.

I live in Raman’s district right now. It’s horrible
Walked outside for 5 minutes in East Hollywood. Trash and feces everywhere. Yeah, that’s enough sidewalk for today
