Minnesota's kicker kicked a 60 yd field goal to put his team up by 3 with 20 seconds to go. Indiana then tied it on a 60 yard field goal at the end of regulation. I don't think I have seen that before.

Just 34.7% of runs this postseason were scored via HR, the lowest mark in a postseason since 2014 (33.3%) In the World Series specifically, it was 13.5%, the 2nd-lowest in any WS since start of 1951, behind 2014 (12.3%)

I remember the Seattle Pilots in 69 right near the beginning of my baseball fandom. 57 years later, the Brewers finally win it all. Congratulations! I love the way they built their team and the way they play. I hope the Tigers use them as a blue print.

The team with best AL win-loss record faces the team with the best NL win-loss record. That doesn't happen all the time, but it's the way it ought to be! It makes it feel like a real world championship. Both teams are likeable, but go Brewers!

The best team in baseball has advanced to the World Series. The Dodgers didn't even put up a fight.

The Tigers season did not go as planned, but I loved watching the rookies in the second half. This is easily their most intriguing group of young players since the 1980s, with more on the horizon. There are no guarantees, but I am very excited about the next few years.

Today was just an incredible way for Verlander's career to end. Pitching effectively for 5+ innings after being injured all year, the heart warming meeting on the mound with his daughter, the walkoff home run. It couldn't have been much better.

When you say Fifth Third Park, It sounds like a three-year old trying to say Pittsburgh.

Jackson Jobe looks like an anime...He has also looked pretty impressive the last 3 starts regardless of the outcome.

I assume that Valdez is done for today. He throws a Porcello - 6 innings, 3 runs.

Max Clark isn't even that good yet, but he is already showing how exciting he can be. It's fun watching him leg out extra base hits.

The Tigers had unfavorable pitching matchups and didn't play particularly well, but they still won the series. And If the playoffs started right this moment, the Tigers would qualify.

It's been a crazy 3 years for the Tigers, but I think these kinds of "mood swings" are becoming more common in MLB. With the increasing number of injuries and more and more bullpen usage, there is a lot more randomness in the game now.

Can any of the fans criticizing Jefry Yan's leaping split do a leaping split?

"Kill the ump!" Brooklyn #Dodgers fan Frankie Germano, 21, went after HP umpire George Magerkurth, a former boxer, after a 4-3 loss to the #Reds at Ebbets Field in 1940. Magerkurth declined to press charges. Didn't matter; Germano was a parolee, and was ordered back to prison!

5 Reasons why Tigers can still make the playoffs: (1) Only 1.5 games out (2) Teams they need to catch are not very good (3) Tigers hitting better now (4) Ordinary teams can stay hot for 49 games (5) Troy Melton
