Great job @Spotify! I’ve been a loyal customer for years but you just dumped my wife off my account because you couldn’t verify her address… because she didn’t see an email while we were on holiday. Oh, and we can’t add her back on because of your ridiculous approach. @SpotifyUK
With its HW+SW control, @Apple has been able to create a sleek end-to-end UX for satellite messaging. Interested to see how/if it charges for use and how that's handled. If made widely available for free/cheap, this will be huge news for remote users #WWDC

Lord knows why @Apple took so long to deliver an iPad calculator. Math Notes is truly impressive but I'd be intrigued to see what % of users will actually use the feature long term. I'd guess more would've valued having a good standard calc for 14yrs #WWDC

Interesting @Canalys Sustainable Ecosystem Survey data:
76% of IT channel partners have no #sustainability staff
49% have no long-term ESG goals
77% don't track Scope3 emissions
Yet
72% have customers asking about their sutainability strategy

Catching up on the @Google news out of #IO - this is a great use of #AI. While @Microsoft has something similar, baking this into Android could be truly impactful, especially for vulnerable users. I'd like to see similar features for messages, Gmail too

This is promising, but I'd need reassuring on safety if rear-ended with this design. Ability to replace fuel cells (hydrogen or battery) solves the slow charge/refuel issue for EVs and alternative fuel vehicles. Along with extended range, this approach could improve adoption
NamX, with Pininfarina's design, is pioneering a "Hydrogen Utility Vehicle" for 2026.
This vehicle offers a promising solution to the lithium shortage and infrastructure challenges facing the EV revolution.

A pink flip phone with the Barbie logo and some custom icons and wallpapers, or a deeper brand integration? Licensed products are so hit and miss - really interested to see what @HMDdevices and @Mattel have come up with... when actually launched

'Couldn't we just show a pixelated image of what's coming?'
An innovative compromise to allow products to be pre-announced months before they'd typically see the light of day! In this case @HMDdevices have done a good job walking a tough line, giving just enough info #MWC2024
I am looking for a new challenge!

This looks like a good development. There are some awesome things going on in the direct-to-mobile #satellite services space, but even with adherence to 3GPP standards, interoperability and speed of innovation is at risk without meaningful collaboration.

That its crackdown on password sharing has significantly contributed to 13.1m new subscribers lastQ is great news for @netflix. But I'd be interested to see the churn on those new customers in the next 6 months - particularly if they increase prices

This is a fascinating product and interesting use of AI. Teaching an AI OS to use familiar apps and services is a quick and neat approach to quickly extending utility, albeit with clear limitations. Siri on sterioids theverge.com/2024/1/9/240306…
I have been hugely impressed with the @airalocom eSIM service I've been using for 5G connectivity on my trip to the US and Puerto Rico over the Holiday Season. Clear and affordable pricing, simple and intuitive setup and accompanying app, and good top up facility. Will use again
I've seen this @Apple video shared 7 times today, both positively and negatively. It's corporate cringe, for sure. But it is also an imaginative way of sharing an important green message that has impressively managed to cut through the noise #love #hate

We've worked hard at @Bullitt_Group to ensure our SOS over satellite service can be an essential lifeline customers without cell signal. But what happens when you push the button? HikingGuy.com met with our friends at @FocusPoint_Intl to find out

I enjoy a slightly bonkers concept phone and this @Honorglobal V Purse is gloriously gimmicky. Wildly impractical - an easy to damage outer screen, always on for max battery drain, and you can't put anything in it... Surely won't come to market, but drew a lot of #IFA attention
That said, the @Honorglobal Magic V2 is a genuinely stunning piece of hardware - the best execution I've yet seen of a foldable display. It's as thin folded as many conventional smartphones, lightweight, and feels solidly built. The sort of thing I'd actually like to use
Live, work, or venture into areas with no cell signal? Bullitt Satellite offers an affordable way to keep in touch with true two-way messaging over #satellite.

OK, this is really cool: I got in a Moto Defy satellite puck from @Bullitt_Group. It uses @mediatek's satellite solution to provide messaging when you're completely off the grid, it's cheap ($150 with 1 year messaging included), Bluetooth to iPhone or Android, and it works!
