Teeny Weeny Weeble update.
Weeble has spent the day with the amazing team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery who have loved him and looked after him so well.
Whilst he remains terribly ill he does seem a little brighter.
The team have given him 2 tiny ememas today which resulted in him passing a huge flipping worm!! - but no poop yet.
The worry is that one worm is possibly one of many , and if so they could be causing a blockage higher up .
We are monitoring Weeble very closely overnight, focusing on fluids and nutrition and he will be reassessed with Team Terrific @ Northcote in the morning .
If you could donate the cost of a Toffee Apple towards Weebles care, this would be greatly appreciated.
* The easiest way to donate is via PayPal using [email protected] as the recipient. please select the friends and family option so we are not charged a fee.
*you can donate by calling our vets at Northcote and making a card payment. Their telephone number is 01274 632222. Please quote BCWR.

Netanyahu on Britain:
We gave the Brits the intel that there was going to be an attack, an Iranian-sponsored attack, and pretty much the next day they slapped sanctions on us.
So it’s wild. I mean, the caving in, the collapse before the Islamist-Marxist alliance is very dangerous for the future of the West.

“Our economy is run by infantile fantasists” @LiamHalligan
A must watch to understand exactly how this government is imperilling our economy.
(Compounding the failures of the last government).
17.30 Wat to Ptsmth. Toilet out of order and no air con. Why have you stopped maintaining trains? It's pathetic. @SW_Help
Is there a guard on the 17.30 WAT to BNMTH? Not a word of comms at all. Air con broken. Delayed. And not a word. @SW_Help
With you running about 50% of services it seems, can't you get 12 carriages on those trains that are running? @SW_Help

Let’s have a think about what’s happening in Makerfield.
This by election is costing taxpayers £226,208. And it’s happening because a Labour MP chose to step aside to make room for Andy Burnham’s leadership ambitions. He admitted that himself.
But here’s some more interesting figures.
If Burnham wins, he’ll have to resign as Greater Manchester Mayor too. That triggers another election costing taxpayers around £4.7 million.
So in total, nearly £5 million of public money could be spent not on improving services, fixing roads, supporting communities or helping struggling families, but on political career ambitions.
People are struggling with bills, crime, NHS waiting lists and communities being ignored. Yet Westminster politics still seems focused on who climbs the ladder next.
That’s what frustrates people. Not democracy. Political games made to look like democracy.

I have a lot of time for Andy Burnham, but what is going on is completely cynical - trading constituencies as if they were political commodities rather than places made up of real people with real concerns, and expecting the entire political process to be put on ice until he is safely moored. This is not what politics should be about.
Why has your train service deteriorated so much more since nationalisation? @SW_Help

You’re the energy secretary. Yet you don’t seem to know that BP’s ‘excess profits’ come from its global oil trading division, which is not subject to UK ‘excess profits’ windfall tax, not from its North Sea activities, which are. Remarkable.
It would be completely wrong for a Government to stand by and allow companies to make excess profits from a war.
That’s why we’re taxing these windfall profits to help with the cost of living.
And why the Tories, Reform and the SNP are utterly wrong to oppose the windfall tax.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The UK's Energy Profits Levy taxes only profits from UK oil and gas extraction, not BP's overseas oil trading profits that primarily drove the recent increase. bbc.com/news/articles/… gov.uk/government/pub…

VAT on private school fees was sold as a policy on two grounds.
1) Taxpayers were “subsidising” private education of the wealthy.
2) The policy would raise £1.5 billion a year and fund 6,500 new teachers.
These were both lies, and have been proven to be so.
The Adam Smith Institute (ASI) suggests that the net cost to the economy of this crazy policy could reach as much as £1.58 billion.
In other words
1. Private schools were actually already subsidising state education.
2. Rather than filling the public purse with extra revenue this policy is sucking funds out of the public sector pot.
Once again, as with every major government policy, these people were elected on a raft of lies and invalidated assumptions.

The nut zero zealotry of Ed Miliband.
A new occasional series.
[feel free to add].
Fertiliser prices and shortages are soaring because the petrochemical industries of the Gulf states are major global suppliers but the Strait of Hormuz, through which they export, is closed. Not good for the spring planting season.
Undaunted the UK will introduce a levy on imported carbon-intensive fertiliser as part of its costly obsession with cutting emissions, even when the impact is slight.
At a time when we should be increasing food security government policy is to penalise farmers further.
