🚨 If you're a 3D modeling/Blender expert and an AI hater who's been raging at every generated 3D model you've seen. Pause for a moment.
This is me, with no real Blender experience, just messing around with Claude.
Now imagine what you could achieve with all your hard-earned 3D skills, guiding the LLM with better ideas and direction, blending manual edits with automation... Think how much faster you could go.
You now have a virtual assistant, available 24/7. And it's $18 a month.
This might actually change everything 🫨 (no, for real).
The 3D lighthouse you see was created in Blender using Claude 3.7, guided by my text prompts, and the reference image on the right - more below 👇
Manual adjustments were minimal - just basic repositioning/resizing of some elements (stretching lengths or widening diameters).
Everything else - the primitives, shapes, colors, materials, lighting etc - was generated by the LLM itself.
And this is only on day 1! Claude 3.7 wasn't even specifically designed for this. Imagine what a specialized LLM could achieve - one that better understands prompts & visual references or that could follow an artist’s manual guidance (“vibesculpting”)
This is on Blender so far, but it feels clear that a similar process will apply to ALL creative software (3D, 2D, video…) and eventually… any software.

SwinGS: Sliding Window Gaussian Splatting for
Volumetric Video Streaming with Arbitrary Length
I urge you to check out the streamed 4DGS in the WebGL-based viewer linked in the reply section.
Quoted Contributions from the paper:
We have implemented SwinGS on top of the 3DGS-MCMC codebase and evaluated it using various scenes from the ActorsHQ dataset and DyNeRF dataset.
Our contributions can be summarized as follows:
• To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to extend
3DGS to the field of long volumetric video streaming, identifying its unique challenges compared to dynamic 3D Gaussian splatting tailored for short scenes.
• We propose SwinGS, a comprehensive pipeline for
training, streaming, and rendering volumetric video
that addresses these challenges.
• We implement and evaluate the proposed pipeline,
demonstrating its feasibility with diverse datasets.
• We develop a WebGL-based viewer that enables easy
playback of volumetric video on portable devices.
