Scam JavaScript conferences alert: The below conferences ("We love JS {City}" "Europe JS {City}") are 99.99% that they are scams and cheap money grab attempts. Listed on a website linked to DevTernity organizers (of course!) Do your due diligence if a conference exists! Sad.

Theo there’s a repo for this. You could make a video. Encourage PRs and stars. ⭐️ github.com/fempire/women-tec… One of the β€œdefenses” the dude used is that many of the talent tagged in this post is unavailable usually and he’s not wrong about that part.

Svelte is maturing. Svelte 5 will have native support for TypeScript in templates (you still need to do lang="ts" on the script tag). Plus you don't need to use `<slot>` anymore with Svelte 5, which overcomes the difficulties with slot props, and the indirection around what relates to what. Instead you can use a new Svelte 5 feature – snippets. Snippets can replace slots/slot props without any of the drawbacks and with some really powerful declarative features that make writing components so much easier once you've gotten used to using them. Furthermore, when you create a snippet inside of `<Component>`, it becomes a named prop for the component call, otherwise you can just access it be default using the `children` prop. Snippets are kind of like functions you pass around that render template content. Snippets are type-safe, easier to debug, reduce code-size and have improved performance, win–win. We still have other things in the Svelte 5 pipeline too, we're not done!

What’s also cool is that WebContainers now include a `wasm` command that lets you run WASI modules directly from the terminal. Or you can invoke exported functions πŸ”₯🀯
πŸ“£7️⃣ Want to run a custom native program or language? Just drag & drop a compiled WASI file to StackBlitz to run it in WebContainers 🀯

@nodejs v20 is not LTS yet, and it won’t be for a few more weeks. All things considered and given all the bugs we have found in this cycle, I would recommend a tiny bit more of caution and stick to v18 for a few more months.
