The same GETFUND that is about who knows you.
Commercial banks in Ghana will begin collecting a 20% tax on qualifying cross-border digital subscriptions from 15th October, 2026, affecting payments for platforms such as Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 and Adobe where the applicable taxes are not already included.
The tax comprises 15% VAT, a 2.5% National Health Insurance Levy (NHIL) and a 2.5% GETFund Levy. The rollout, directed by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), requires participating banks and payment service providers to collect and remit the applicable taxes on qualifying transactions.
