Was debating which blazer to wear today… then remembered I’m a government employee in the 1950s and they’re all bloody identical.

Lord, forgive the thoughts this puts in my head… I want to be kissed like that. Right under the crucifix. Slow and desperate and wrong. I’d whisper every prayer I know against his mouth and still not stop.

I shall go to sleep now.… this is a promise I have made to myself approximately four times in the last hour. Goodnight, I really mean it this time.

Went to confession. Went to Mass. Had a milkshake. Thought about him for three hours. All in all, a very productive afternoon.
