Son: Stop cursing me. I don’t like it.
Father: How dare you tell me what you like and what you don’t like? Is “Hope you’re not unfortunate” or “Hope you’re not mad” a curse? Is it not a question?
Son: That’s a lie! That’s not what you said. You cursed me! How can you say that to your own child? And you’re a pastor. Don’t talk to me like that.
So, something has been happening between my neighbour and his son, and honestly, I don’t know what to make of it.
My neighbour is a pastor and a single father of three. He and his son get into arguments almost every night, and it usually starts with words like, “Hope you’re not unfortunate” or “Hope you’re not mad.”
The boy doesn’t like it and has repeatedly told his father to stop speaking to him that way. But whenever he speaks up, his father gets angry and starts beating him.
The father’s argument is that his son should have kept quiet. According to him, since the boy knows the situation is only temporary, he should have endured it instead of talking back to him.
Sometimes, the arguments get so heated that the father starts crying, saying things like, “When I was still rich, nobody could talk to me like this. But now that I don’t have money anymore, my own son talks to me anyhow.”
The son, on the other hand, insists that his father curses him whenever he gets drunk. He believes his father only changes the narrative when other people are around, making it seem as though he’s asking innocent questions rather than insulting him.
Now, here’s where I’m confused.
THE FATHER IS A PASTOR!!!!
So, who should I believe? The father, who insists he’s only asking questions, or the son, who feels insulted by his own father’s words?
And even if the father genuinely means them as questions, does that justify beating his son for speaking up about how those words make him feel?
Should the son have kept quiet and endured the situation because it’s temporary, especially considering our culture, where children are often expected not to talk back to their parents?

On Effort: Never allow the excitement of having someone to make you forget the importance of keeping them. The same effort that attracted someone to you is often the effort needed to keep the relationship healthy.
Men listen 👂 stop the red flag 🚩 habit of reducing the effort once una don knack woman. We need to fix up and start treating these ladies better and just maybe we'll end the cheating culture that's killing our dating pool and marriages.
The duty of ending cheating lies on the men. If men decide to stop sleeping with different ladies today, cheating will automatically reduce and eventually stop.
Ladies also need to have self control. Everyone needs to take responsibility and end the cheating menace.
Good evening 🌆✨🌆🌆

I have a friend who recently left her husband’s house and rented an apartment. In less than three weeks, she was already calling me to assist her financially.
When I told her I didn’t have, she started writing all sorts of things on her WhatsApp status. 😂
Till today, I honestly don’t know the concrete reason she left her matrimonial home. I still don't know what really happened between them.

Nicki Minaj standing with Trump is something I never saw coming. Now my question is, “Does she really support his administration or she’s just doing it for the recognition she’s going to receive from it?”

A lot of men grew up watching their mothers sacrifice everything for the family, and now they expect their wives to do the same.
But many women watched those same sacrifices and promised themselves they’d never live like their mothers.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with making sacrifices for your family. Marriage requires that from both people.
But we also need to be honest about the kind of men many of our mothers were married to. Some of those men were deeply patriarchal, controlling and selfish. They expected women to cook, clean, raise children, contribute financially and still treat them like kings.
What some men remember as their mother’s unconditional love, their daughters remember as a woman who had no choice but to endure.
That’s why one generation of men is looking for women like their mothers, while a generation of women is determined never to become them.
What’s one word you avoid using because you can’t pronounce it properly? 😭😂

Sometimes, it's the very hands you trusted to hold you together that leave you in pieces. And you'll spend the rest of your life wondering if they ever. loved you, or simply loved knowing where to break you.
