A real example is the kanji for 'senior'. However, it is not the Japanese word for aged, or advanced, or in a higher position within a hierarchy; it is the Japanese term for a fourth year student - a term which is not used in UK education.

Similarly, the kanji for 'half' is translated within the app to mean 'thirty'. The actual Japanese word for 'thirty' is completely different to the presented kanji, but Americans don't use the term 'half past' when telling the time, so here we are.
