I'm 70 years old, so I've been through a lot of elections.
You are lying.
It's not normal.
That is a recent artifact of accepting late ballots, cheating, and mailing ballots to everyone, also cheating.
I'm sure there was cheating before, but now the system is gamed to make cheating easy - for democrats

I don't think people realise how big a deal this is.
If you have cancer, or somebody you know has cancer, there is a company in Hyderabad that wants to build a personalised cancer vaccine for you.
Try approaching any big pharma company and asking for a personal vaccine. If they even reply to your email, this is the response you'll get: we don't do that here.
PopVax, on the other hand, takes your tumour sequencing data (or a sequence you've designed), designs candidate neoantigen vaccine sequences with their AI pipeline, produces the mRNA, encapsulates it in their LNP formulation, fills vials, and runs QC, all in 8 to 10 weeks. They’re publicly committing to capacity for 100+ of these over the next 12 months and asking people to email them their cancer type/stage and sequencing details.
What a time to be alive.

The White underclass is a miracle, and probably why the West has succeeded.
Thomas Frank wrote “What’s the Matter with Kansas” to explore why poor Whites don’t vote for socialist policies that would (narrowly, in the short-term) benefit them. Of course he concluded it was about racism, as he was predetermined to do by his ideology.
But I actually think he highlighted an incredibly important fact: poor White Americans, uniquely among underclasses globally, don’t vote for socialism.
The typical dynamic is rich people trying to keep what they have and poor people trying to take it. But the American lower-class White does not behave this way, because he has a deontological aversion to government interference. The collection of attitudes and beliefs described as “rugged individualism” are often assessed in terms of how they impact the individual, but I think it’s much more important to consider how they impact a nation.
(White) America has the world’s least resentful or grasping underclass. This is a treasure. They should be preserved and rewarded. Many might be net-negative fiscally in a narrow sense, but they are hugely net-positive if you consider their votes. Trump famously said “I love the poorly educated.” He was right to say this. Every nation has an elite. No other nation has such a high quality of virtuous common people.

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

You have to understand. The longer you wait to build skills, the harder life pushes you to settle for something beneath your potential capabilities. Education is a race against premature convergence.

People who think humanity will become lazy and useless without jobs have a very depressing view of human nature.
Do you seriously believe the only reason people create, invent, explore, compete, and discover things is because someone pays them?
People climb mountains for fun.
People spend thousands of hours mastering video games.
People build entire virtual worlds for absolutely nothing.
Human ambition doesn’t disappear when you remove financial necessity.
It gets redirected toward things people actually care about.
The end of compulsory labor isn’t the end of human purpose.
It’s the beginning of choosing your own.

It’s almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone who’s working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now.
The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way.
But what’s happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago you’re likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now.
I’ve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains weren’t wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly weren’t either.
With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. It’s a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didn’t work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.

A processor smaller than your fingernail was just designed without a single human engineer.
AI took an empty 2 by 2 millimetre square and packed a full 32-bit processor core into it, with 4,000 logic cells and 19,074 wires on 4 layers.
Then it noticed the chip was running at 95 degrees and moved the hottest parts around by itself until it cooled down to 81.6.
At the end it was marked ready for the factory.
Companies hire whole teams for years to do this, and here nobody even touched the mouse.

Out of curiosity I had my Grok Bot read 26,000 news articles about car crashes since 2019.
70% of Tesla crash stories put "Tesla" in the headline vs less than 6% for any other mainstream car manufacturer.
Even exotic crashes like Lamborghini and Ferrari make the headline only about half the time at most.
