Sure, the midterms are fun but Trump losing the very essence of his Presidency would slap more if he was in a repurposed Sports Hall at 3am in Wigan

For anyone who believes in decency, respect and the rule of law, it feels good to see the American people so comprehensively reject Donald Trump’s politics of hate, division and economic harm.

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

We all know Oxford Street is going to be huge success. Let's just hope that @SadiqKhan has the conviction to return Soho to it's COVID glory before he leaves office.

Watching PMQs, strikes me once again how grateful we should be to David Cameron for closing the Europe question via a referendum once and for all.

Imagine a world where the supposed "British patriots" spoke of London in the way people who actually live, visit and love London do
saying london has mediocre/bad food = > a sign of ignorance > means you have no clue > you don't know what's going on > you're clearly going to the wrong places > you haven't done your homework > you're lazy

Since Arsenal fan Keir Starmer was replaced by Spurs fan Sagal Abdi-Wali, Tottenham are undefeated, Harry Kane has won the Ballon d'Or, and Arsenal have been knocked out the cup by Fleetwood Town

Where do I begin? That was an evening I'll never forget. It’s an incredible honour to receive the Ballon d’Or award after a year full of goals, trophies and special milestones. Thank you to all the staff and my teammates at @england and @fcbayern, as well as family, friends and everyone who’s supported me – this wouldn’t be possible without you all. Thank you to everyone who has sent a kind message, social media post - I appreciate every single one of them. This will live long in the memory. 🙌🏆❤️

Oxford St is well served by the (fully accessible) Elizabeth line and multiple tube stations, with buses still crossing it several times. Families, the elderly and blind people are the real winners: a calm, spacious street replaces a packed pavement with traffic thundering past!

Drove down Oxford Street a couple of hours before it closed to traffic for good. Purely for the novelty; can't think of a good reason to drive it normally! Being into cars and wanting nice, liveable cities shouldn't be a contradiction. It'll be so much nicer without traffic!
