It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process, is to guarantee disappointment. ~ James Clear

Don’t take on more of what you can already do. Lean into what proves challenging and difficult; let the slippery surface build your resilience and strength.

Your toxic coworker is rarely alone. Toxic offices run on committees. Three people who have never agreed on anything suddenly agree on you. They swap stories, tweak the details, and by Friday you’re “difficult” in a room you never even entered. When they can’t humble you, they try to isolate you. They forget one thing: you were never begging for a seat at their table. You’re busy building something that doesn’t need their blessing. So stay calm. Document everything. Let them hold their little meetings.

Don’t deny the negative, but don’t dwell on it. Don’t relive what didn’t work out. Don’t replay the loss, the disappointment, the failure. You can’t move forward if you’re looking back. You can’t enjoy today if you’re focused on yesterday.

There are battles you cannot win by strength, wisdom, connections, or human effort. There are situations that expose the limits of everything you thought was enough. But the promise of God is that you will not face every battle alone. The bible says in Chronicles 20:17 (KJV) “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you.” What overwhelms you does not overwhelm Him. What exhausts you does not weaken Him. What stands against you does not intimidate Him. Divine assistance means that when your strength reaches its limit, God's power has not reached its limit. He knows how to intervene in situations where human ability has failed. Your battle is not beyond His reach. Your situation is not beyond His wisdom. Your future is not beyond His ability to intervene. You may have reached the end of your strength, but you have not reached the end of God's assistance. Stand in faith. The God who promised to be with you has not abandoned you. YOU ARE DIVINELY ASSISTED

Busha Business exhibited at Moonshot last week, and I came back with some notes for any marketer thinking about events. 🧵 - A digital campaign makes people aware of you. A booth makes them curious. Those are two different things. If the event aligns, invest in it

This is the word God has for someone before this year ends: Psalms 65:11 “God has crowned the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance”🥹

4. Practise my request. I might say: “Over the past year, my responsibilities have expanded to include [specific responsibilities]. I’ve also contributed to [specific achievements]. I’d like us to discuss reviewing my compensation to reflect my current scope and contribution.” My goal would be to start a professional conversation backed by evidence. A salary increase isn’t guaranteed, even when your case is strong. But I would rather enter that conversation prepared than expect my employer to notice everything I’ve done. Your next move: Write down three achievements you can confidently defend with evidence.

Over 7,000 people from 40+ countries came to Moonshot by TechCabal this year! It was my fourth year leading marketing for it. Since the first edition, attendance has grown 3.1x and ticket revenue 12.5x. I like to think back to 2023 when I had just become Growth Lead. I struggled to delegate, had no real marketing systems, and knew little about events beyond my core skill, performance marketing. Four editions later, working on Moonshot has made me a far better and more rounded Growth professional. After three years achieving incredible milestones, the work can start to feel routine. So this year, I took on some of the most exciting projects of my career: → I built dynamic website timers and a pop-up deployment tool with time-based messaging complete with GA4 tracking. A pop-up subscription alone used to cost us $195/month → I set up conversion tracking across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Ads, with server-side tracking through Stape. We averaged 14X ROAS on Snapchat and around 15X on Meta (Both wild to me). → I made GA4 our source of truth, with cross-domain tracking (since we sold on an external site) and proper exploration funnels. This showed me our conversion rate, which platforms sold which ticket tiers the most, which days performed best and why. → I tested more than 80 sets of creatives in six weeks. It's true what they say: the marketer with the most creatives wins. None of it would have mattered without an exceptional team which is why I'd specifically like to thank the core marketing team @Tranquil_inks, @joshuer_x, @David_Onugha, @AlexVivyNnabue, first for attending my daily stand-ups, pushing so many strong social, email, influencer and community-led initiatives and generating such a buzz that people were hunting for Moonshot tickets across nearly every social channel. To the design team:@aderemi_adesida, @osazeyyh @chechekalu thank you for being even more audacious this year, infusing motion and other interesting elements and creating a brand identity so recognisable that people now easily associate certain colours and patterns with Moonshot. To the video team: @AbisolaAlawode, @aquila_creator @TEEETO_A for creating an extremely strong base with the launch videos and transforming our briefs into such high-quality videos. What started as a Slack thread is now one of the most important tech conferences in Africa and next year, we become a truly global destination!

I regret to inform you that nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. Stop fearing the judgement of people who were never even thinking about you. Nobody is thinking about you. They’re too busy thinking about themselves. Go do the thing.

If you’re an emotionally turbulent Christian, one thing that can help is having an anchor scripture to respond to your (recurring) emotional triggers. Some of mine are: 1. Rejection - Hab 3:17-18 2. Lust/Romantic Infatuation - 1 Cor 6: 12-20

this is also my anchor scripture for rejections 🥺🥺🥺 Habakkuk 3: 17-18
Habakkuk ends his book with one of the most honest prayers in Scripture. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines. Though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food.

Yesterday and today I heard two senior people I hold in high regard discuss constant readiness because the future is uncertain. Both stated that “opportunities have to meet you prepared.” LUCK = PREPARATION + OPPORTUNITY

NOVEMBER 2026: THE 11TH HOUR! Welcome to the 11th month of the year, the month of the 11th hour! I declare that November shall be a month of divine intervention, unexpected breakthroughs, restoration and answered prayers in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! The Bible tells us in Matthew 20:6 that the master went out at the eleventh hour and found people who were still waiting for an opportunity. He hired them, and they received their wages. I declare that it is not too late for God to change your story! In this 11th month: 1. May the God of the 11th hour remember you. May you receive divine visitation in areas where you have been waiting for a breakthrough. 2. May doors of opportunity open for you, even in places where you thought you had been forgotten. 3. May God restore the years that the locusts have eaten, according to Joel 2:25. 4. May delayed prayers receive divine attention. May you experience the faithfulness of God. 5. May there be supernatural interventions in your family, marriage, career, business, ministry and finances. 6. May God remember you as He remembered Noah in Genesis 8:1. 7. May you experience the God of suddenly. Just as He intervened for Paul and Silas at midnight, may He intervene in situations that have kept you bound (Acts 16:25–26). 8. May situations that look impossible become testimonies of God's power. Remember Lazarus in John 11! 9. May you recover lost opportunities, regain strength and receive fresh grace to accomplish what God has placed in your heart. 10. May you not finish this year in the same condition you started it. May you grow in faith, wisdom, spiritual maturity and the knowledge of God. I declare that the eleventh hour is not the hour to surrender. It is not the hour to abandon your faith, stop praying or conclude that God has forgotten you. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep serving God. Keep working on what He has entrusted to you. The God who met the workers at the eleventh hour is still sovereign. He is not limited by human timelines. November, I welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ! May this month carry testimonies of God's goodness. May we see His hand, experience His mercy and finish the year with gratitude. In Jesus' mighty name. AMEN!
