The logo lives!

I had a good day making bags. Here’s my new office. I’m in a co-working place in Walnut Creek and I’m the only person there without a computer.

I worked at the Beverly Hills Public Library in the 90s and two kids tried to check some books out with an expired card so I asked them if their parent could come in renew it and so they went and got John Lithgow out of the car. He was nice!

I just finished making dinner when John McAfee called me to ask why I’d banned him.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to these days. It’s incredibly gratifying to make a bag from scratch. There’s a lot of problem solving and planning which feels a lot like programming sometimes.
Teaching myself how to build a bike from scratch by slowly replacing everything on a current bike. All the black parts here are new. Going to (attempt to) build a wheel this week if the parts arrive.
Halfway there. Laced but not fully tensioned and trued. I’m very proud of myself. Even lined up the Phil hub logo to the valve hole. 👌🏽
👋🏽 Hey, since I get a lot of requests to update Tyke and I don’t really remember how any of it works and don’t write code anymore, I opened the source up github.com/torrez/tyke/ if you wanna fork it and add dark mode or NFTs I dunno.
Also, you can save yourself a ton of time and just get tot.rocks/
