Nestled in a corner of the ancient Dai Temple in Tai’an, Shandong, the #Taishan #ShigandangMuseum has recently opened to visitors. The early Shigandang were small #stonetablets erected at lane entrances and road junctions where paths faced buildings.
According to curator Mr. Fang Qing’an, the folk culture of Taishan Shigandang originated in the Western Han Dynasty and reached its heyday in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
