"You can take rugby seriously, but you must not take yourself too seriously.” Wise words that form the ethos of the vets #touchrugby community. Tomorrow at midday we will remember Eddie Butler, Welsh rugby icon and poet, with a rousing round of applause. Rest in peace Eddie.

Love this : G of @chepstowgold. A choice of losing a leg or removing muscle mass after an accident gave G no hope of playing rugby again. Until that is he found his new #touchrugby family in 2021! "If the mind is willing the body will follow" @DRA_Community @WRU_Community

Steve from the @PontySaxons has it nailed on. #touchrugby helps "develop family, unity and bond". The Saxons are definitely fun to be around especially when they have "that loving feeling". Come up to @CHEPSTOWRFC (24/9/22) to watch the Saxons play and hear their dulcet tones!

Wise wise words from Eddie of @RiscaVets (Risca Cuckoos!) .. #touchrugby is a fun game for EVERYONE. Looking forward to seeing the Cuckoos at @CHEPSTOWRFC this time next week! @WRU_Community @DRA_Community

Next up the legend that is @BateMartyn from @FerryRenegades. Great fun on and off the pitch these guys really make playing #renaissancetouchrugby a pleasure. Pop up to @CHEPSTOWRFC to witness the thrills, skills and spills of over 40s touch rugby! @WRU_Community @DRA_Community

With the Renaissance Cup at @CHEPSTOWRFC just around the corner we asked each team to tell us what #touchrugby means to them. First up the awesome Mac from @chepstowgold who got the giggles 🤣 Join us on the 24th to watch over40s touch magic!! @WRU_Community @DRA_Community

Sadly Cwmafan Crusaders had to drop out this week so The Valley Vipers join us from the waiting list! Welcome guys! It’s going to be a belter!! #touchrugby
