An actual comparison of a days work. Opus 5.5 I've been working on 2 projects pretty solidly for the full day - I'm sat at 13% weekly usage. Codex I've had running on one project, similar amount of time and effort.... I'm at 75% weekly usage, and that's after switching effort levels lower. Currently, the only way codex is useful is if @thsottiaux resets it daily, in terms of actual useful working output....There is quite literally not even a comparison to be had.

At this point opus 5.5 can do almost anything I need it to, so for me, the biggest slam dunk against openAi would be the same performance that 5.5 has but with the cost/usage improved even more - it would create an even bigger void between usage on Claude v Codex.
