interesting how the attack on the soybean oil and canola industry is coming from retail consumers at the same time as environmental lawmaking groups

the hits just keep coming at the biofuels sector ♻️
California is implicitly targeting the soybean and canola crushing industry in the US (farmers included)🌱👀
now we’ll have to find other homes for these biofuel products and many compliance systems do not like agricultural feedstocks to begin with
California's proposed limits on #biodiesel and renewable diesel made from #soybean oil or #canola oil are shocking.
Beginning in 2028, each company is eligible for #LCFS credits for only up to 20% of their annual production.
I hope I am reading this wrong, but I don't think so.

4. This chart really puts the red ink in perspective. For average cash rent ground in Illinois the projected loss 50/50 production in 2024 is literally off the chart going back 25 years. We did have losses back in 2014 and 2015 but nothing comparable to what happened in 2023 and is projected for 2024. My guess is that one would have to go back to the depths of the farm financial crisis in the mid-1980s to see this much red ink in budgets.

This is what I fear most. The construction phase.
Mountains of topsoil heaved and piled, never to regain its productivity. Endless construction in the mud. Endless drainage tile lines severed.
And of course the glossy brochure will claim they will rectify & compensate

I think @TractorSupply corporate needs to see this. After their great statement ending woke policies, an employee in Hooksett NH wrote to a group of employees that this was about TSC "oozing ultra whiteness". The district manager has reportedly taken no action over this bigotry.
