In 2000, Netflix offered to sell itself to Blockbuster video for $50 million. Blockbuster laughed at them and turned down the offer.
Today, Netflix is worth $257 Billion and Blockbuster went bankrupt in 2014.
In 2002, The founders of Google offered to sell the entire company to Yahoo for $ 5 billion. Yahoo refused to pay more than $3 billion and the deal fell through
Today, Google is worth $2,100 Billion. Yahoo is worth less than $5 billion today
The lesson: Don’t sell yourself short! You can be worth much much more than you think.
