For my newsletter, I wrote about an HHS demand from RFK Jr to all the American medical associations demanding they clarify their stances on youth gender affirming care.
It's the latest example of the Trump admin using their bully pulpit to target trans kids:
Y'all don't understand how much damage us trans folks have tanked for almost everyone else the last like 4 years. It's been us and immigrants just taking the full blast of the culture war every day.
And now you call us selfish for asking for the same rights we had 2 years ago?
Tough couple weeks for @hasanthehun's opps
BREAKING: Former IDF chief Gadi Eizenkot projected to become Israeli Prime Minister after Tuesday’s election, replacing Netanyahu.

The negative backlash to this trans woman -- clip being an optics win in the regard that AOC had basically the ideal answer -- is a mask slip. People are really mad that this makes moderates look unprincipled AND ineffective, when the latter is their deflection for the former.
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that?
AOC:
Both sidesing the most offensive attack ad of the cycle. That's classic Manchin.
The disgusting attack ad in the Ohio governor’s race points to a much bigger problem in politics. The political parties don't care about the character or integrity of their candidates anymore. They only care about power — no matter what it takes. We need common sense leadership, and once again, the parties are failing to meet the moment.
It's an outgrowth of the way the content system works these days. You get rewarded by the algorithm if you make more stuff. The quality doesn't really matter once you hit a certain level of fame, you just need more of everything to succeed.
No, wrong. You pass the popular agenda and let the other party stand in the way of what the people want.
Why the fuck would you pre-veto shit??
.@SenBrianSchatz says that if Democrats take the Senate, the party's left wing needs to be strategic about not proposing things "that the president of the United States is guaranteed to veto."
"If we want to be more aspirational, if we want to make more bold policy changes... that's for 2028."

Small update re: the Texas Transgender Student Union mailers.
Snailworks, the company that provided mail tracking services for the mailers, denies sending them but will not disclose who hired them. The NRCC spent $4,677 on Snailworks on 8/27/26. TTSU was created days later.
