Tears in my eyes, he said it perfectly. Get it to the edit then it’s all Reeves #TheBatman2
The color grading for 'AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY' is so unique. I’ve never seen a film with this kind of cinematography.
there is such a beauty in not knowing what the replicants saw before coming to earth and then you hear "attack ships on fire off the shoulder of orion" and "c-beams glitter in the dark near the tannhauser gate" and it's honestly one of the most magical things ever

The Shining (1980): 5/5
A film that represents the best of white culture (getting bored and killing your whole family)

What if the final scene of Dune: Part Three doesn’t have swelling music but complete silence?

The first two movies end with two loud, Zimmer-laced cuts to black. The first almost triumphant, the second tragic. I would kind of love if Part Three ends with a quiet, almost Malickian shot of the desert with a slow fade to black. The perfect mic drop imo.
im so glad i bought it, looks so good
"The thing that I found so 𝘣𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 is that certain factions of the Kubrick audience seem to think that Criterion can just take these films and just do 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 to them. And that is 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 not the case. These are 100% collaborations with the studio—in the case of 'Eyes Wide Shut,' Warner Bros. and the Stanley Kubrick estate.
Before we even got to the color-correct in London, ['Eyes Wide Shut'] was already color-matched to an archived 35mm print. So by the time we sat down with Larry Smith, there had already been a color grade to match the original theatrical color grade, which—as we know—is different for whatever reasons."
