Throwback to me testing out the Blender Camera controller + Blender 5.2's new NPR compositing techniques. Specifically the Dithering effects. Don't have alot of time to use Blender these days due to work demands but its always a good time when I do.

GitHub is a goldmine for game developers. I found 10 insane repos that can help you build AAA-style games using Claude Code and Codex. Bookmark this for later: 1. Jolt Physics The physics library used in Horizon Forbidden West and Death Stranding 2. Add rigid bodies, collisions, and believable physical interactions to your game. github.com/jrouwe/JoltPhysic… 2. Terrain3D Build massive landscapes in Godot. Sculpt mountains, paint terrain, import heightmaps, and add foliage with multiple levels of detail. github.com/TokisanGames/Terr… 3. Material Maker Create procedural textures and paint directly onto 3D models. Build materials through visual nodes instead of making every texture from scratch. github.com/RodZill4/material… 4. Effekseer Create particle effects for explosions, magic spells, combat, and environments. Export them as 2D animations or integrate 3D effects into your engine. github.com/effekseer/Effekse… 5. Voxel Tools for Godot Build worlds players can dig through and destroy. Supports caves, tunnels, overhangs, and terrain that streams as players explore. github.com/Zylann/godot_voxe… 6. Recast Navigation Help enemies and NPCs navigate your levels. Generate navigation meshes, calculate paths, and simulate crowds with collision avoidance. github.com/recastnavigation/… 7. ozz-animation Load, play, and blend character animations. A performance-focused library for building smooth movement into your own engine. github.com/guillaumeblanc/oz… 8. The Forge Building a custom engine? Start with cross-platform graphics infrastructure, resource loading, and animation systems instead of writing everything yourself. github.com/ConfettiFX/The-Fo… 9. meshoptimizer Detailed models can crush performance. Optimize, simplify, and compress your meshes to make assets smaller and more efficient to render. github.com/zeux/meshoptimize… 10. FastNoise2 Build procedural terrain and texture generators. Combine noise patterns in a visual node editor, then load those setups into your game. github.com/Auburn/FastNoise2 Give Claude Code or Codex the relevant docs and ask it to help integrate the systems your project needs. What did I miss?

Andromeda absolutely nailed their combat system. Would love to have seen how that game would've evolved with a better story.

Oh boy. Wait till you play Watch Dogs 2. Try standing in one spot and observe the NPCs, you'll see alot of excellent NPC behaviors. Shame most players missed it because it won't trigger if you're driving/moving around too fast, you have to stop & observe them for it to trigger.
Playing Watch Dogs for the first time and I'm very surprised at just how alive the game feels with NPCs, there's a lot going on everywhere you go. While yes the game was a graphical disappointment after the E3 preview, the NPCs are miles ahead of GTA V.

Oh now. Everyone is finally admitting it😂😂. Its not kinda it IS dogshit. Let's not mince words. The most wasted opportunity of the 21st century.
The GTAVI marketing is kinda dog shit.

Super excited to announce that Fer Factor has been selected as one of the recipients of the Google Play Indie Games Fund in Africa! This is a big milestone for the studio and an exciting step forward for what we’re building. Thank you to everyone who has supported us ❤️

Isn't this good? The whole problem with discord is knowledge (like programming questions and answers) get lost because they aren't easily searchable
Discord will soon make public server messages searchable on Google The feature will be enabled by default for US adults, but users can opt out in their privacy settings
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Missing context: only applies to messages posted after the update, in public channels of discoverable servers. No private servers or DMs. Indexed messages won’t show usernames or avatars. Admins can opt out entire servers; users can opt out their own messages. discord.com/blog/making-co…

Logseq shot themselves in the foot with this stupid arse DB system. Now the app won't open (even when I reinstall) and my notes are gone! Fuck.

1. YouTube isn't recommending GNodes tutorials. Unless you go out of your way to search, u won't see it on your homepage. 2. More Youtubers are using Simulation nodes instead of actual GNodes. SNodes is more finicky, framerate dependent and more convoluted than regular GNodes.
Looks like people stop using or creating fun stuff with geometry node anymore. No new amazing Things about Geometry node on YouTube anymore. It's all old videos... Heavy geometry node YouTube channels are all silent. What happened? #blender #geonodes

Harry Kane leaving Tottenham is the greatest evidence that sometimes YOU are not the problem… it's your environment. 😭😂

That clears up a lot. The artist wasn't actually hired on the project so this wasn't an official soundtrack.
Aren't these guys under NDAs? How are they still able share these bcos NDAs usually remain even when the projects are cancelled. Not complaining cos I do like seeing BTS stuff. I'm just curious about the logistics of how they are able to share this much.

I'm curious about this because it can easily be an elaborate marketing ploy to test the waters of interest for the franchise and build hype for an announcement. Like a Coyote v ACME twist. Not saying it is. But again. I'm curious.

"The Music That Might Have Been" Austin Wintory, renowned composer behind games like Journey, releases 22 minutes of early Mass Effect 5 musical drafts from his pitch to compose the game: "Working on Mass Effect 5 was my career's biggest dream project, my white whale. It is my favorite franchise of all time, and for the last couple years I'd been in serious conversations with BioWare and EA to jump in. My suggestion was to treat the original game's masterful Jack Wall/Sam Hulick score as a starting point, and to build on it from there with deeper use of physical, analog synths and a more tightly interwoven use of the orchestra. But a love letter first and foremost (not unlike my approach to the Aliens franchise with Fireteam Elite). As part of the ongoing dialogue, I decided last year (2025) to surprise the folks with an elaborate production: nearly 20 minutes of music, fully recorded and produced with synths, vocals and a large orchestra here in LA. I'd not yet learned any narrative details of what they were planning so this was just pure musical exploration. Receiving the news alongside everyone else that EA had decided to not only cancel the project but shutdown BioWare entirely was a deeply felt loss. It's been hard to see dear friends lose their jobs, and this beloved franchise seemingly vanish forever. Thank you nonetheless to everyone at BioWare and EA's music department for gifting me the chance to dream in your sandbox. It was a privilege to do even that much." Listening to all the dispatch conversations about Blonde Blazer and remembering my review. Geez was that January?
Finished my 2nd playthrough of #Dispatch. Yep, it's a masterpiece. Went with Visi this time. Still prefer Blazer but I think Visi's arc is more tightly integrated into the plot. I feel much of Blazer's character arc and integration with the plot was cut due to scope & budget

A personal observation I want to share - I am doing a cloud rendering research for years. And only just now I feel like I can properly ‘see’ them. I can observe them in real world and I know what I am looking at, and notice elements I never saw before. This genuinely feels like a superpower. I bet people (shaderers, researchers, and artists) here who follow my work might share the same feeling on their fields? In this pic of Kitten Space Agency vanilla clouds left, mine - right. Same performance.

That was a solid cold open. I'm hooked (for now). Let's see where the story goes.

Fuck! I finished Book 8 of Dungeon Crawler carl over the weekend, now I don't know what to do with my life😭 What will I listen to on my commute to work. What a series! Dinniman has joined Asimov and JK Rowlings as the few author's whose books get better as the series progress

I generally stay away from book series. I don't like a single story drawn out over multiple books. In cases where each book is its own story, the first book is usually the best book and the story loses steam as the series progress. Foundation, Harry Potter and DCC are exceptions.
