I wish humans were
more like trees
and every autumn
we turned a beautiful
golden hue and
parts of us fell off
indiscriminately.

Freakies cereal, launched by Ralston in 1972, was an sweetened cereal famous for its quirky monster mascots and creating a demand for in-box premiums like toys and magnets before its discontinuation in 1976, with a brief failed revival in 1986.

Our culture teaches us that the people we love never truly leave us. They live on in our hearts, our memories, and the legacy they leave behind.
Today, we honor our ancestors, family, and friends who came before us. As long as we remember them, they will always be with us. 🕯️🧡

You should do your homework before making a fool of yourself. My father was a staunch Democrat his entire life breaking away only twice: he voted for Nixon because of his stand on China ("I don't think we can sweep the millions of Chinese under a rug" and for Reagan because he was a loyal friend.

This is the Googie-inspired Merle’s Drive-in, which opened in 1951 at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and MacArthur Blvd in Corona del Mar (aka Newport Beach.) I sure hope neon lighting lit up this place at night spectacularly.

This is so generous of Jagger. Reminiscent of what James Agee said of Chaplin: "Chaplin’s former rivals…speak of him with no more jealously than they might of God.”
"Keith liked the Beatles because he was quite interested in their chord sequences. He also liked their harmonies, which were always a slight problem to the Rolling Stones. Keith always tried to get the harmonies off the ground but they always seemed messy. It didn't work . . .
"I admired the Beatles because they were trailblazers. They showed the way. I think everyone got turned on to the idea of writing songs by the Beatles.
"They were so big that it’s hard for people not alive at the time to realise just how big they were. There isn’t a real comparison with anyone now. They were so big that to be competitive with them was impossible.
"Nobody will ever be as big as the Beatles. It will be ages before anything like their success happens again."
