Recruiting is frustrating. It's what can you do for us now if you are a college coach. Which is understandable because putting food on the table and a roof over your family is a must. They can't afford to get it wrong. However over evaluation is a real thing. I see it time and time again. So many kids get passed over for various reasons. Some are legit reasons. They may not be good enough. Sometimes he's not a fit or possibly grades or character issues. Nobody gets it right all the time but I have watched kids get overevaluated then proceed to ball out at colleges that took a chance on them. Some players develop and mature later than others. It use to be about developing players or what can he develop into. That mentality is long gone for most programs in today's recruiting landscape.
