Starting today, they are riding 700km from Aylmer to Ottawa, on their journey to the Canadian Police and Peace Officers' Memorial.

A sharp eyed @HRPSMiltHH traffic officer saw this disaster rolling through a school zone today #Safestart . The trailer weighed 9500kg & had NO BRAKES. The driver only had a G class licence, the blocks were insecure, safety chains damaged. Plates removed & OOS @HaltonPolice ^MD

Stopped this sprinter van today when Cst Barnes and I observed it obviously overweight sitting on its rear axle. Found to be ~2000kgs over on its Allowable and RGW, as well as 1.5tons over (combined) on its rear tires weight ratings. +front steer tire bald. #OOS and charged.

CVSA created a new inspection bulletin on inspecting tires on a vehicle with an automatic tire inflation system, which adjusts tire pressure based on a set cold tire pressure, and tires with a tire pressure monitoring system.
