the @solana network is having a good end (so far) to 2023. through ups and downs, @solanafndn has stayed really lean and fairly disciplined. it employs dozens, not hundreds, of people. it's really well capitalized. it's learned to be nimble and very frugal. while not always perfect, it's often stayed out of the way while builders--the real stars--forged the network's path forward. it's early, but there appears to be signs of a flywheel in effect. if this flywheel continues, I expect the foundation's scope to shrink, not grow. wherever possible, we've worked hard to create a culture where everyone is welcome. the network belongs to the people that contribute to it, build on it, and use it. I can't wait to see what you all do in 2024.
