EXACTLY!!!! I hate the idea that everything was as sectioned off content wise on tv because due to cable after school I could watch ESPN or MTV or BET or Nickelodeon or Disney or UPN, etc…. And it was a bunch of stuff so some days some days it Seinfeld some days it was icarly
did american tv in the 2000s not have seinfeld airing after the news everyday on one channel??? bc I was a kid when icarly started and I got this just fine

Went to Warped Tour 2010 when it came to the bay… I was a sophomore in high school and went with my home girl it was so fire!!!
you could go to warped tour for $20-30 you could see your fave bands play and go meet them at their tent for $0 after. sometimes you’d just run into them walking around you went home with bags of free stickers, pins, and other misc goodies. but also merch was rarely over $30

Millennials, what was considered completely NORMAL in 2005 that would be absolutely unhinged today?

Everyone watched everything during this time. Seinfeld, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, nick, nick at night, sci fi, tnt, adult swim, toonami, TCM.. we had it all. Listen to millennials talk to each other. Non stop references to stuff you don’t know. It’s like another language.
I never understood why this iCarly episode became Seinfeld Midway through like which kid was gonna get this reference

Criterion is not for casuals like you (nothing wrong with casuals btw) Criterion is for people who love movies, the art of making movies, and preserving history. So much goes into Criterion releases beyond the movie. There are hours and hours of BTS features for each release

it’s so funny seeing people try to force failure on her so bad when she’s currently in the best position an artist could ever be in
🚨 Akademiks says Megan Thee Stallion is in a “DEAD ZONE” in her career and admits he has NO IDEA how her label could turn things around. “I couldn’t sit even with her label or any team of hers and try to figure out where she goes from here.” Adam22 questions why Megan’s massive Instagram engagement isn’t translating into more attention for her music, with the panel claiming her recent single barely made any noise. Adam then argues that Megan is making a BIG MISTAKE by focusing too heavily on female audiences instead of appealing to male rap fans. “The dudes are where the real fan base is at.” The panel also questions whether they’re underestimating Megan’s popularity among women or whether her music simply isn’t connecting anymore. The irony of every man on this panel being responsible for the death of mainstream rap music.
🚨 Trap Lore Ross claims Kendrick Lamar “KILLED OFF RAP” by taking his battle with Drake TOO FAR, making it so mainstream that people eventually got tired of hip-hop. “Kendrick killed off rap. He took this thing too far.” Flakko pushes back, arguing Kendrick CARRIED RAP for 18 MONTHS with no close competition, but the discussion turns to whether calling Drake a pedophile ultimately damaged hip-hop. Flakko also claims Drake FELL OFF in 2024, sparking immediate pushback from the panel. Via The Final Verdict

So basically they’re mad Megan won’t sit down with them, play media games, or seek male approval (men who are misogynistic & already hate her anyway)… 😭😭😭

CHICO BEAN SAYS JAY-Z’S “TAKEOVER” IS A BETTER DISS TRACK THAN NAS’ “ETHER,” AND HE’S NOT BACKING DOWN Chico Bean: “Takeover is a better song than Ether.” Karlous Miller: “No, it ain't.” Chico Bean: “Yes, it is.” Chico Bean: “Nas, Takeover is it. And of course, we know this is just nostalgia, but to me, Takeover is a much better song than Ether. Ether was just... it's like if I'm talking about you, and then you come back, 'Oh, you big-head, bald-in-the-front-head-ass nigga.' Man, you e-joked on him. Takeover is, 'Oh my God! You went from Nas to Esco's trash. You had a spark when you started, but now you just garbage. You went from top 10 to not mentioning at all. Till your bodyguard, Gucci Wally, verses better than yours.' Come on, man. Matter of fact, you had the worst flow on the whole fucking song. Karlous Miller: But the way Nas came on Ether, that's what I'm saying. Before the shit even came on, the nigga said, 'I know you ain't talking about me.'” Karlous Miller: “That shit hit deep, bro. I fuck with Nas. That nigga, man. Ether... 'Teach you the king you know you're not.' Man, all that's good. You know that's better than Takeover.” Chico Bean: “Not to me.” Karlous Miller: “I kick that shit to make your soul burn slow. That Ether, like, yeah, that's cool, but Takeover still whoop your ass. Chico Bean: ''You 36 in the karate class.' Now, that was funny. That was funny!”
