I bought a Vero V a little while ago on a punt when my previous (very old) media box finally died. I could have built something similar from a Pi or whatever, but this was a no-brainer setup and all the hardware integrated. Works like a charm. Very recommend.

First major roadblock 😂 after a few days of testing, it appears if you want to kill a raspberry pi, leave it in a bag unprotected for 8 years!
I’m gonna keep testing it to find some use for it, but in the meantime I think I’m gonna replace it with a Vero 5 from @try_osmc – at Torrevieja, Spain

.@try_osmc Just received my Vero 4k+ and WOW! This thing does it all. Coming from a RPi3+ the difference in performance is unreal. Glad I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded. Can't recommend your product enough!

We've built a low-power media station aboard our sailboat. It uses the amazing @try_osmc OS, streaming audio into the ship's stereo, a @pimoroni pHat Beat board.

Right, 3x Apple TV Gen 1's now running the last version of OSMC to support them. Possibly breathing life into obsolete hardware. @__fincham would be proud.

If you receive your codec license key email again, fear not. There's a bug in the code that we're currently working on. You won't be charged. teapawt.net/lockyear/status/100654…
