Hi colleagues. This my last post on this platform and hope to connect with you on BlueSky. @tsizer.bsky.social
Recently I was able to sit down with Prof. Deirdre O'Carroll of Rutgers University to talk about the way that materials innovation is exploited in our research at @Nokia Bell Labs. The discussion came out of a Keynote lecture at the Annual Meeting of #PhotonicsNJ.
📣 Check out this newly released interview transcript of DE @ElenaGaloppini & AE Deirdre O’Carroll speaking w/Dr. Theodore Sizer (@tsizer). This interview expands on some of the themes Dr. Sizer illustrated in his inaugural PhotonicsNJ address. #ACSAOM

Brilliant talk from our Daniel Romero of @BellLabs and @onera_fr explaining @ECOC_Conference why an interleaver is necessary in ground-to-#satellite optical links for mitigating atmospheric turbulence. Soon >100G coherent optics in space? @tsizer @nokianetworks

At the bedside with a Grady elder, 2018.
Him: "Is that a tattoo on your wrist?"
Me: "Yes, sir."
Him: *scowls with disapproval* "You a doctor with a tattoo on your wrist?"
Me: *chuckle* "Yup."
Him: *squinting* "Is it real? Like. . . permanent?"
He leaned a little closer.
