This deal looks really bad. Like, sell-out bad. As Media Guild of the West notes, "Not a single organization representing journalists and news workers agreed to this undemocratic and secretive deal with one of the businesses destroying our industry." mediaguildwest.org/news/cali…

Every year, we put a shout out for our missing room, in case a new friend to these pages recognises the fireplace and panelling of Gwydir’s missing C16th Oak Parlour. It was sold in 1921 to William Randolph Hearst (aka #CitizenKane) who assembled it in his apartment in New York.

We re-framed Rembrandts Anna and the Blind Tobit this week. We replaced the re-gilded French 18th century frame with 20th century gilded slip with an un-cut Dutch 17th century ebonised pearwood frame. Suddenly the light shines out of the window inside the painting

Well I know the “keep 841 free” crowd is well intentioned, they’re unfortunately ill informed or don’t trust every marine biologist and marine rescue group that has spoken out. So many people are currently on the water and many are way to close to the otters 🦦 – at Santa Cruz, CA

Okay media, let’s do a story on sea otter harassment, it’s now happening constantly! I’ve got photos and I’d really like this to get out there. You all know how to get a hold of me – at Santa Cruz, CA
This is getting really bad. I watched a group of 4 kayakers go to a kelp bed with a 10-12 sea otters until the otters were forced to flee. Once the otters went to another kelp bed, they did the same thing! We need people in boats to protect them! @CaliforniaDFW @MontereyAq.
