Here’s the thing. Biden has been a fantastic POTUS — one of the best in my lifetime. He was never going to overcome the wall-to-wall media coverage about his age. This sucks, but nothing changes. Stopping Trump’s Project 2025 is still the most important thing we can do.

It’s not a new idea. The mute feature is to maintain debate decorum and prevent either candidate from interrupting or usurping time. It’s meant to keep the debate substantive and not devolve into a circus. One candidate has more interest in the latter than the other.
