Tim Wilhelm

This season, we are starting a new tradition at Maumee Football. For each home game, one of our team captains will select a teacher who has made an impact on them to serve as an Honorary Captain and join our captains at midfield for the coin toss. For our first-ever Honorary Captain, senior captain Cohen Jones selected Mr. Wilhelm! Mr. Wilhelm is a Maumee Middle School Math teacher, former Maumee football and track coach, and, most importantly, a Maumee Football alum. Tonight will also be a pretty special full-circle moment. The last time Mr. Wilhelm walked onto a football field for a coin toss was September 19, 2008, when he was a senior offensive lineman for the Panthers. That night, Maumee traveled to Perrysburg and came away with a 28-21 upset victory over the Yellow Jackets. Nearly 18 years later, he gets to walk back out for a coin toss, this time alongside one of his students and the next generation of Maumee Panthers. We’re excited to recognize the teachers who make an impact on our players far beyond Friday nights. Congratulations to our first-ever Honorary Captain, Mr. Wilhelm! Once a Panther, Always a Panther. We Are Maumee!

We want all the smoke 💨 💨 💨 See all you Panthers in our new Gray Alternate Uniforms on August 22nd! Thank you Robert Joseph Wagner and Man Overboard for making us this pre-season hype video! #WIN #RELOAD
