Where I come from, childhood ends at 12. By then, a boy is already feeling the pressure to become a man. He hustles day and night, trying to help his family in whatever little way he can, while facing rejection after rejection and disappointment after disappointment. I am that boy. Life has forced me to grow up faster than I ever imagined. I come from a place where someone could work for 40 years and still never afford the car he has always dreamed of. A place where making it to the top feels like a privilege reserved for 1 in a million. But I refuse to accept that my story must end the same way. I dream of pursuing my master's degree abroad, and right now, I'm doing everything I can to save enough dollars to make it happen. Some days, the goal feels so far away, but I keep pushing because I know what I'm fighting for. I don't have everything figured out. I just have a dream, a lot of determination, and a life I desperately want to change. I really hope I make it. Not just for myself, but for that little boy who had to grow up too soon and deserves to see that all his struggles weren't in vain.
