Tomorrow, the @EFFSouthAfrica will hold its Tshela Thupa rally in Orlando Stadium, concluding the final phase of the elections campaign. Tomorrow also marks exactly six months since the Premier of Gauteng appointed the EFF Gauteng Chairperson, Commissar Nkululeko Dunga (@DungaLeko) as MEC of Finance, custodian of the R179 billion provincial budget in a province that contributes more than 32.5% of the country's GDP.
Of all the media articles published when Chair was appointed, it was the Business Day (@BDliveSA) article that claimed his appointment "was not in good faith". So when the MEC invited the media to hear his account of the past 6 months in office, we saw an opportunity to challenge the notion that the EFF cannot be in a coalition without chaos, and to confront some of these DA-sponsored media characterisations. And we did.
For this budget to work, let's go and win, Fighter! We need a Johannesburg that works.
