"We have 670 graduands in Part Two of the 27th Graduation Ceremony, including 22 First Class degree recipients. Our best-performing student is female, with a CGPA of 4.70, while the second-best is male.
Interestingly, 58% of our graduands are male. We are proud of you, the boy child! We are beginning to see the fruits of our efforts to promote boys' education, and we hope this trend continues."

This is what sovereign intelligence looks like.
The #DLI2026 poster session is alive with it, researchers standing beside their work, mid-idea, mid-breakthrough, ready for the next question. Every poster is someone's months of work, someone's late nights, someone's conviction that Africa will not just use AI, but own it, shape it, and build it on its own terms.
That is what Ìmọ̀ Wa, our knowledge, our intelligence, is all about. And here in Lagos, that future is not a slogan. It is standing right in front of you, ready to explain its methodology.
This is what building looks like. This is what belonging looks like. This is the Indaba.
To everyone who presented, who asked, who listened, who showed up: you are sovereign intelligence in motion, and you are the reason this community keeps growing. 🌳

A great Day 4 at #DLI2026 with an amazing team!
Today, Grace Wanja, a final-year Data Science student from @UCUniversity, presented her research poster on AI for Financial Inclusion. Her work highlights the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to expand access to financial services and drive inclusive economic growth.
Congratulations, Grace, on representing @ucu_ComputEng and @UCUniversity on Africa's largest AI stage! 👏
As Day 3 of #DLI2026 came to a close, the @ucu_ComputEng team paused for a photo moment, celebrating a day filled with learning, collaboration, and innovation at Africa's premier AI gathering.
Walk down the #DLI2026 memory lane with Paul, a final-year Information Technology student at @UCUniversity, as he reflects on his experience at Africa's largest AI gathering in Lagos Nigeria,.
From cutting-edge research and hands-on learning to meaningful collaborations, #DLI2026 showcased the continent's growing leadership in artificial intelligence. This year's message was clear: the future is about sovereign intelligence—building AI capabilities, talent, and solutions that are created in Africa, for Africa.

💡 "Must African communities keep adapting to technologies built elsewhere, or can we build systems that understand the contexts they operate in?"
@KateKallot , Founder & CEO of Amini, on Sovereign Intelligence in practice at #DLI2026: Africa's AI future needs its own compute, connectivity, energy, and trusted data, not just access to frontier models. 🌍
