No. This is a 2009 staged viral ad for the Spanish site Terra, titled El Ovni Gallego. Filmed off Galicia (not Italy) by Películas Pendelton as a War of the Worlds tribute. The UFO, jets and splash are CGI; boat scenes and actors were real but scripted. Producers released a making-of confirming it.
