If qualifications don’t matter (and clearly, they don’t) I’d like to put my hand up as next British PM.

As I reflect on which engineers I’ve worked with that I hold in highest esteem, I’m struck by the fact that raw coding ability isn’t a factor at all in what makes them good. For some of the ones I respect the most, I don’t think I’ve even seen any of the code they’ve written.

I'm German. If you wanted to hate a country for what it's done, it's mine. Yet I'm welcome everywhere. Esp. in Poland. I have many friends from there, in fact one of my very closest friends lives in Warsaw. Please don't confuse Russia & Putin with the Russian people

My test of Sanzen's soon-to-be-released Tomoe River successor: fudefan.com/2021/11/sanzen/

Sanzen's Tomoe River successor

I tested Sanzen Paper’s soon-to-be-released Tomoe River successor, using extra broad and calligraphy nibs, with chromo-shading and sheening inks, and compared it to both “old” and “new” Tomoe River.

My goal is to write more great software, and while you might SOMETIMES get great software from a team of people who all think like me, you will CONSISTENTLY get great software from a team of people who have a variety of approaches.

In video meetings it's a hassle to unmute just to say one word especially if someone else is speaking. I created a video lens that uses hand gestures to show comic-book style messages instead. So far it's been pretty fun!
