My great friend and colleague Mr Jim Manson, after 43 years as a doctor, 28 as a single handed UGI surgeon, has retired. The longest serving examiner for the intercollegiate FRCS. It will be a loss of a great clinical opinion but he deserves a long and happy retirement.
