I’m reshaping this account around the OSS/dev tooling work I care about most
I’ll be sharing reproducible workstations, AI-native developer workflows, app scaffolding, DevEx, persistent context for coding agents, and V scientific tooling
Most of it already lives on my GitHub

How many pencils, how many humans, how many hours would it have taken to recreate the Adobe suite by hand?

Meet Hornero OS 🐦🇦🇷
An Arch-based desktop born from 8+ years of building and refining Linux setups, now evolving into a real project together with @PandaFoss
Built for hackers, makers, and the agentic era!
This is just the beginning 🚀
Another project in V:
HorneroOS, an Arch-based Hyprland desktop for the Agentic Era, focused on deep customization, themes, layouts and polished UX. Its core tooling is written in V.

🚀 Ulises Jeremias migrated agent-toolkit's canonical CLI from Python to V.
The goal: make the binary native, fast, portable, and easy to distribute.
Linux startup:
`--version` 43ms → 4.7ms
inventory 164ms → 8.6ms
doctor 735ms → 5.6ms

Recently, 12 new V bugs were reported on GitHub. None of them could be reproduced with the new compiler. It simply doesn't have these bugs.
That means the new architecture is more robust and better designed.
The new compiler is becoming the default on macOS this week.
🚀 Just released agent-toolkit: reusable skills, agents, MCP templates, and workflows for Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Copilot, and more.
Try it:
uvx --from agent-toolkit-cli agent-toolkit install

The V language tried an interesting experiment: what if you start with Go and add all the features the Go team left out to keep things simple?
Enums, sum types, unions, pattern matching, attributes, access modifiers, operator overloading, named and default parameters — V has them all.
There's even a built-in ORM! 🫠

Bro said, "I'm a backend dev."
Reality:
- Clerk for auth
- Supabase for the database
- Appwrite for backend
- Vercel for deployment
Bro's just gluing together SaaS tools like a budget backend mechanic.
That's not backend engineering
That's API Lego with typescript
🚀 VSL v0.2.0-beta.1 and VTL v0.2.0-beta.1 are out!
🔬 VSL = scientific computing foundation
🧠 VTL = tensors, autograd, and neural networks
One step closer to real-world ML in V

i never thought i'd say this, but coding got boring
you write a prompt, wait 10-50 minutes, review the code, ask for fixes, then repeat
that's it. that's the job now
no more debugging for hours. no more stack overflow rabbit holes
just… prompting. reviewing. prompting again

VSL v0.1.51 released!
Major milestone: VSL now has 100% pure V BLAS and LAPACK implementations as the default!
- Zero deps (no C libs needed)
- High perf (competitive with C backends)
- Cross-platform
- Production ready
- Benchmarks and enhanced docs

We, web devs, just have it extremely easy

"Users don't care about performance"
They do. They just rarely have a choice. Give them to choose between a slow and a fast app and you will be blown away by the results. The problem is that all apps these days are a slow, buggy crap. It's you who don't care. Not them.
