The Piper Alpha is oil & gas industry’s deadliest accident in history.
Happened in the North Sea (oil-rich waters shared by UK, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands) in 1988.
The Piper Alpha is a specific oil platform 120km offshore Aberdeen, the oil capital of Europe.
The platform was originally for oil, and gas from the field were flared. They later decided to modify the facility to accommodate gas utilization with some pipelines.
On the afternoon of 6 July 1988, the engineer on duty in charge of one of the pumps observed some issue in a valve and made a comment that pump should not be switched on for any reason.
Unfortunately, while ending his shift for that day, he forgot to pass the info to the supervisor who issued permit to the engineer on night duty to switch on the pump when there was an issue with another pump.
Explosion occurred. As there was a gas facility within the platform, it got worse, fire traveled fast.
The rest is history.
226 people were on the offshore platform. 165 died, from engineers to caterers (offshore rig is usually like a community with all manner of workers - compare with a construction site, but inside water). 2 people from the rescue team also died, bringing total fatality to 167.
30 bodies were never recovered. It took 3 weeks to finally put out the fire.
Sad day for Aberdeen and the global oil & gas community.
So when you see oil & gas technical guys (especially those that go offshore) getting paid a lot of money, this is the risk and hazard that could come with their job.

If all of a sudden your outside tap is rushing at night, don’t just jump up, and go lock it. I do this a lot, but I have learnt something today.
Watch, learn and share.

Life is spiritual. Something is clearly chasing this man. He has 3 kids in Canada and owns one of the biggest estates in Ondo. He has enough wealth to solve the problem highlighted in this video.
He spoke in parables about the main problem chasing him (Esu lagbara ko ni igbala, emi ni mo gbagbe ipinle etc).
So sad!! May God rest his soul

I had a friend once who was married to a woman who constantly weaponized sex and rejected him at every turn.
He got fed up one day and locked up for 4 years. The woman started playing the victim card, called both families and kept on complaining but the man did not even answer anybody when asked.
The woman got frustrated and eventually ran away with the man's kids. The man still remained nonchalant and has not called them till date. Last I heard about him, he simply married a younger wife who has also given birth for him.
Those are the type of men i want to learn about marriage from. My role model.❤️
The only cure to madness is extreme madness.
The only power women have over men is sex. That's why their first and last resort is sex. Once you completely feign ignorance, her power over you diminishes.
If she goes like this for about 2 weeks, maintain abstinence for 4 weeks. She will be the one calling her family and your family to come to her rescue.
Of course, men have a higher libido than women, making men desire sex more than women. But you know what women can't condole: silence or ignorance of her presence when she's close to you.
With women: if you always show that you want them, they'll keep shunning you, but if you maintain a good distance, they'll gravitate towards you provided you're a worthy man.
So, as a worthy man, you shouldn't be the one running and levitating towards sex, rather the opposite.
Well, testosterone will disappoint you from time to time, but make sure a woman never come to the conclusion that you are under a pussy magical spell.
More reserves. Congratulations to Seplat for this great feat.

Seplat went looking for gas and found oil too, by accident.
Its Aku-01 well has an estimated 157 billion cubic feet of gas and 19 million barrels of oil in place. Seplat says the oil wasn't even part of the original plan. It holds 40% of the licence, and a second well is planned for 2027.
Meanwhile, look at what shareholders are getting. A 19 US cent dividend this quarter, 14 cents of it a special dividend. That's 40 cents so far this year.
The stock is at an all-time high of ₦16,000.10, up about 175% this year.
Most companies drill and hope.
Seplat drilled for one thing and got two.

ASUU declares indefinite strike in LAUTECH over unmet 2025 agreement
Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) have declared an indefinite strike over the failure of the Oyo state government to implement the 2025 agreement between the union and the federal government.
In a statement jointly signed by Olujimi Dada, the branch chairperson, and Soji Arinola, the secretary, on Thursday, the union said the strike would begin at midnight on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and continue until its demands are met.
According to the statement, the action follows the expiration of a 14-day ultimatum issued to the university administration on October 14, 2026, after the union declared a formal trade dispute with the full backing of its National Executive Council (NEC).

“Snake will never attack you if you don’t attack first” 🤡🤡

Wizarab is my brand ambassador, we have broken bread many times, he has accomodated me in his house which is the most vulnerable anyone can be too you yet we openly disagree on some issues here.
Infact we disagreed so much during the last election to the point that we blocked each other but here we are building neostore.ng together.
Just because Nigeria is filled with mindless Zombies who worship money, worship their pastors and worship politicians doesn't mean its suddenly wrong for siblings, couples and friends to disagree.
What do you mean by "Mumuzee disagree with her lord ke"?. She is not supposed to have a mind of her own because @Wizarab10 helped raise money for her?.
What crime did that woman commit?. What exactly do you people gave against her apart from cooking for her husband and receiving help from MEN?.

Family: Let’s bury him in his compound.
Madam: No, seeing his grave every day would be too traumatic for me.
Family: Then let’s take him home, bury him on his father’s family land, beside his late mother. At least you won’t have to see his grave every day.
Madam: No, that place is too far. What if I or the children want to visit his grave? How would we cope with the distance?
You lost your husband, they lost their son, probably the only successful child.
I believe there are "somethings" you just have to let go. You don’t need anyone to tell you otherwise.
