Here is one of the best defensive plays ever and it may have single-handedly won the T20 World Cup Final for India.
Pay attention to where Suryakumar Yadav’s feet are the whole time - if the ball, and the player with the ball in his hand cross the boundary that you can see here - South Africa gets 6 runs (points - it’s 6 if it goes straight out, 4 if it rolls/bounces out). Yadav first of all gets to it before it goes out, then he tosses it in the air to re-gain his balance and momentum, gets back in field and secures the catch. Unbelievable presence of mind

#WATCH | On India winning T20 World Cup 2024, Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid says, " As a player, I was not lucky enough to win a trophy but I gave my best...I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity to coach a team, I was lucky that this bunch of boys made it possible for me to be able to win this trophy. It is a great feeling, it is not like I was aiming for some redemption, it was the job I was doing...it has been a great journey..."

I must admit I was a bit taken aback first to see Virat Kohli so emotional and then to announce that he has played his last T20I. This generation should consider itself lucky to have seen him in his prime. And when it counted, he showed why he is the big match player India is blessed to have.
