The SESRIC delegation is participating in the 9th World Investment Forum, organised by @UNCTAD and hosted by the State of Qatar under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of @MofaQatar_EN.
The Forum officially commenced with a high-level Opening Ceremony featuring addresses by H.E. Ahmad Al Sayed, Minister of @MOCIQatar; H.E. Pedro Manuel Moreno, Deputy SG of UNCTAD; and H.E. @RGrynspan, alongside a message from H.E. @antonioguterres, SG of @UN.
Bringing together government officials, representatives of international organisations, business leaders and other distinguished stakeholders, the Forum provides a global platform for shaping the future of investment and strengthening its contribution to sustainable development.

On day 2 at the World Investment Forum 2026, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani joined a session exploring how investment in culture, creativity and the arts can generate lasting economic, social and cultural value.
The discussion also featured Art Basel CEO Noah Horowitz, designer Yasmin Mansour and Nan Li Collins, Head of the World Investment Forum, with Dareen Abughaida moderating.
Sheikha Al Mayassa highlighted Qatar’s long-term investment in cultural infrastructure, creative talent and the growing creative economy, noting that the sector contributes around QR3.6bn annually to the local economy.
