Quem somos? Somos Undead Chronicles. Zumbis lentos. Armas históricas. Uma história pesada, sombria, miserável e brutal. Queremos criar um jogo que perturbe de verdade. Obrigado pelo apoio incrível e por fazerem do Brasil o 2º país com mais listas de desejos! 🇧🇷

here is the French AM armored car we just finished for Undead Chronicles 🖤 these were deployed during the Allied occupation of Istanbul in 1923, the exact time our game is set. the second photo is a real one taken in Istanbul that year. small historical detail, but important for the set dressing. 3d model done by the incredibly talented @NeMajaYo 😍🫶

I have been trying to create narrow streets of Istanbul in post apocalyptic perspective for Undaed Chronicles. A lot of inspiration from TLOU. I am working extra on floors (because I love) and since I don't have Nanite in my project (no displacement), working on some other ways to make it look ''Nanite''. Still very WIP but I wanted to share my progress.

hey everyone, an important update. we said our public demo would land around halloween. it won't. we are moving it to a later date. here is the honest reason. when we first planned it, we were basically me and my 2 co-dev with few freelancers. since then the team has grown and changed. we brought in a new very experienced technical lead who is helping us rebuild some core systems properly instead of patching around them. we hired a really talented 3d artist from egypt who is building authentic 1923 istanbul architecture from scratch. we brought in more people for specific tasks. we finished the tommy gun and we are now modeling and rigging an old revolver with our amazingly talented weapon artist. we recorded hundreds of lines of voice over for our main character, RJ. we built new zombie types with our character artist, we are doing new animations for each weapon with a new animation artist. all of this is good news. but it also means the demo we were rushing toward doesn't match the game we are actually building anymore. it was pulling focus away from levels and systems that matter more, and after some internal testing we realized we were forcing something out just to hit a date, not because it was ready. we don't have a publisher. we don't have investors. we are funding this out of our own pockets. that is exactly why we are able to make this call, and exactly why we should. nobody is going to be angrier than us if we ship a demo that doesn't represent the game or somehow outdated (or buggiers) version of our current vision. so we are taking the extra time to do it properly. new mechanics, new puzzles, more polish, better onboarding, better ui, most importantly, better zombies and a prologue that actually shows you what undead chronicles is. thank you for being here this early. 105k+ of you wishlisted this game with no marketing spend from us. that trust is the only reason we can afford to slow down and get it right instead of rushing. more soon. keep the feedback coming, we read all of it\ sorry for the disappointment🖤

small detail, but a big one for me. i always told myself, if i ever make a game, i would get rid of the visual clutter. no floating numbers on ammo boxes, no "+7 rounds" popup in the middle of screen, no ui screaming at you. so in undead chronicles, when you loot ammo, you actually see the individual bullets. and the sound changes depending on how many you picked up. most games slap a box mesh with a number on it and call it done (nothing wrong with it). i wanted something different. something you feel.

and, honestly, i am slowly starting to understand how audio works and i am so in love with audio. hoping to improve a bit more on that. it really is so important for especially a horror game.
