Life quakes y aprendizaje.

There’s an insane amount of alpha in:
- People in SF leaving SF to see how people and companies around the world are using AI (hint: most are still using it primarily as search)
- People outside SF spending even two weeks in SF to see how people and companies are operating here (hint: many are already living in the future)
This may be obvious to some, but the gap right now is staggering. The global diffusion of AI is a massive opportunity.
There’s a lot of noise around AI right now.
The loudest stories tend to come from the edges: companies replacing entire business functions, running autonomous fleets of agents, or claiming they have already transformed the nature of work. Read enough of these stories and it can start to feel like everyone is already ahead.
We wanted to challenge that assumption and understand what AI adoption actually looks like in the real world.
To do that, we mapped more than six thousand respondents’ answers to a four-level AI maturity model, from a thought partner that individuals reach for, to AI as the system, where autonomous agents run critical processes end-to-end.
AI is moving fast. Most companies aren't.
The loudest stories come from the edges - autonomous agents, massive job losses, whole industries about to flip. Read enough of these stories and it feels like you’re behind and everyone else is way ahead.
This didn’t feel quite right to us. So we surveyed 6,000 professionals across 10 markets to map where AI at work actually is. Here's what we found 🧵

Plastic recycling is a “dead-end street."
That quote…unbelievably…is from @Greenpeace.
In my new video, we debunk the recycling religion.
The Recycling Religion
For decades we’ve been told recycling helps the Earth. It really doesn't. Recycling is a “sacrament of the green religion,” says Science Writer John Tierney.
