Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it.
(Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)

****** President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.
So in other words, the author of this book understood that black people were no longer #shackled/ confined to the white man’s plantation.
Not only was this book 📕 teaching young white children how to count… they also learned how to hate . You Plant 🌱 seeds into a young mind. The seeds will grow and greatly influence the leaders of tomorrow. Desensitizing their level of empathy for black people in general.
This book was actually a slave master’s manual for dummies. They learned from an early age #how to continue the actions and behaviors of their forefathers. They wanted to make sure to instill the spirit of white supremacy for generations to come.

BREAKING: @CityofNewarkNJ just passed an historic ordinance lowering the age to 16 for school board elections!
In a city where turnout in school board elections is 3%, 7,000+ 16- & 17-year-olds—90% of whom are Black & Brown—can now vote in those elections!
This is democracy!
