Big development in Polish #speedskating. Wiktoria Dabrowska, 20 years old, won the 1000m at the national championships in a time of 1:15.05. That time is just 0.27 behind Brittany Bowe’s track record in Tomaszów. She improved her personal best with 2 seconds!

Day 10 of posting #speedskating statistics ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest women in the 5000m, on all rinks and at low altitude. ⏳ I will continue this series with lists about the team events shortly before the World Cup competitions start. #schaatsen

Day 9 of posting #speedskating statistics ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest men in the 10000m, on all rinks and at low altitude 🔢 Two notable skaters raced their fastest times in quartet starts, in the B-groups of World Cups. #schaatsen

Day 8 of making sure your #speedskating facts are on point ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest women in the 3000m, on all rinks and at low altitude ⛰️ The low altitude times have improved recently, but the high altitude times have been lagging behind a little. #schaatsen

Yesterday, I wrote down the wrong competition name for Eitrem's world low altitude 5000m. He skated this race at the World Allround Championships one month after the Olympics.

Day 7 of increasing your #speedskating knowledge ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest men in the 5000m, on all rinks and at low altitude 💥 The WR got crushed last year. Eitrem's 5:58 in Inzell is iconic, but if he really goes wild in SLC this year, a 5:56 could be possible #schaatsen

Day 6 of leveling up your #speedskating knowledge ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest women in the 1500m, on all rinks and at low altitude. 🔍 Just like in the women's 1000m, the five fastest skaters in history have retired. Beune is the fastest active skater. (1:51.05) #schaatsen

Day 5 of freshing up your #speedskating knowledge! ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest men in the 1500m, on all rinks and at low altitude. 🏔️ The advantage of high altitude racing is the biggest in the middle distances. No wonder the fastest men skated their PBs in SLC. #schaatsen

⬇️ These are the 5 fastest women in the 1000m, on all rinks and at low altitude. 🛑 The 5 fastest women of all time all have retired from #speedskating or won't participate this season. More room than ever for new talents to break through! (and for Kok to win a lot) #schaatsen

Day 3 of freshing up #speedskating knowledge ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest men in the 1000m, on all rinks and at low altitude. 📈 The top level in this event has grown a lot over the past few years. Not too long ago, a 1:06 at low altitude seemed out of reach. #schaatsen

The new #speedskating season is coming up, so let's refresh our skating knowledge! ⬇️ These are the 5 fastest men in the 500m, on all rinks and at low altitude. ⁉️ Will Jenning de Boo or Jordan Stolz crush Kulizhnikov's world record this year? #schaatsen
